Simon<\/strong> Furman<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2026 is a writer for comic books, games & TV animation, his name indelibly linked to Transformers<\/strong>, the 80s toy phenomenon (in 2012 Furman was inducted into Hasbro\u2019s official Transformers Hall of Fame<\/em>). He is the co-creator of Marvel\u2019s Death\u2019s Head<\/strong> and Dragon\u2019s Claws<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

His past Transformers credits includes numerous stories for Marvel UK (among them Target: 2006<\/strong>, Dinobot Hunt<\/strong> and The Legacy of Unicron<\/strong>), Marvel US (from #56-80), Transformers: Generation 2<\/strong> (#1-12), Dreamwave\u2019s The War Within<\/strong> and IDW\u2019s Infiltration<\/strong>, Escalation<\/strong> & Devastation<\/strong>, and more recently Transformers: Regeneration One<\/strong> and Transformers \u201984<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Screen credits include the final episode of the Beast Wars<\/strong> animated TV series, Nemesis pt2. For games, Furman continues to contribute storylines for mobile build & battle game Transformers: Earth Wars<\/strong> and is lead writer on Transformers EarthSpark: Expedition<\/strong> and several upcoming and TBA games projects. To celebrate the 40th<\/sup> Anniversary year of TRANSFORMERS, Dynamite Entertainment released a trading card set featuring creator cards by Furman, and the recent Skybound Kickstarter that collects Furman\u2019s TRANSFORMERS work for Marvel Comics raised a staggering $4.8 million.<\/p>\n

He is the author of Transformers: The Ultimate Guide<\/strong>, You Can Draw Transformers<\/strong>, Transformers: The Movie Universe<\/strong>, Rad Robots<\/strong> and other reference books, and oversaw the recent Transformers: The Definitive G1 Collection<\/strong> (from Hachette).<\/p>\n

Furman is currently<\/u> writing Return to<\/strong> Skull Island<\/strong> (based on the hit Netflix TV series) for Titan Comics and a second series of Astrobots<\/strong> \u2013 the all-new mecha series from Massive Publishing, based on toy designs by Aaron Thomas.<\/p>\n

With artist Geoff Senior, Furman is the co-creator of To The Death<\/strong> (www.to-the-death.com), a 10-issue maxi-series combining hard-hitting sci-fi action and sharp-edged satire, and TTD spin-off Killatoa<\/strong> (both currently serialised in Shift Comic<\/em>). Latest release To The Death: Rex & Rule <\/strong>includes new material by Furman & Senior as well as \u2018Bring The Rayne\u2019, an all-new story with artist Barry Kitson. Furman\u2019s creator-owned crime noir GN, Five Points<\/strong> (with artist Martin Stiff), is available exclusively through Amazon. A sequel, The Gyre<\/strong>, is now in the works and scheduled for release in 2026.<\/p>\n

Past comic credits include Action Force<\/strong>, Alpha Flight<\/strong>, Annihilation: Ronan<\/strong>, Death’s Head<\/strong>, Doctor Who<\/strong>, Dragon’s Claws<\/strong>, How to Train Your Dragon<\/strong>, Robocop<\/strong>, Robotech<\/strong>, She-Hulk<\/strong>, StarCraft<\/strong>, Terminator<\/strong>, Torchwood<\/strong>, Turok: Dinosaur Hunter<\/strong>, What If?<\/strong>, The Vigilant<\/strong> and The Leopard From Lime Street<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In TV animation, Furman served as head writer\/script supervisor on the hit Nicktoons & CITV show, Matt Hatter Chronicles<\/strong>, and has written for shows such as Dan Dare<\/strong>, Roswell Conspiracies: Aliens.
